Antisamos beach is arguably one of the most favourable destinations for swimming and sunbathing in Kefalonia. It is located 27km east from Argostoli and pretty close to the port of Sami. Antisamos distinguishes for its natural beauty that consists of turquoise waters and a marvelous surrounding of green hills and lush vegetation on top of it.

A beach like this could be nothing but well-organized with umbrellas and sundecks. It is this stunning scenery that characterizes this area and captivates all visitors. Antisamos has gained worldwide reputation from the Hollywood movie Captain Corelli’s Mandolin, where some of the scenes were filmed there. It is easily accessed from a coastal road in Sami. The Koutsoupia Beach is a tropical beach and relatively unknown to the average visitor of Kefalonia. Located in a remote spot along the coast of Poros – Sami and is accessible only by sea. If you make a day trip with from Poros or Skala, you will definitely make a stop there. The area is suitable for snorkeling since it is relatively unspoilt.
